Help restore the Northallerton Link Wensleydale Railway plc has a "virtual" volunteer team which is working on various business aspects of building the case for the Northallerton link. Qualified Trainers We are looking for suitable qualified trainers who are able to voluntarily assist our existing hard-working training team. The need is for trainers who can deal with various types of railway training, from operations to engineering. Previous railway experience welcomed but we would also like to hear from people who have transferrable skills in areas such as Manual Handling, Health and Safety, First Aid and COSHH (Hazardous Chemicals). Leeming Bar Station Support Group (LBSSG) The Group has now been formed and has started the task of improving the appearance of the station. Refurbishment of the Toilet Block is well in hand and a member is making new station signs as "homework". There are many tasks to be tackled, some of which do not require regular visits to the station. Cleaning Group Could you spare a couple of hours a week (or a month!) to join a new team keeping the inside of the trains clean and tidy. | Minutes Secretary for the Wensleyale Railway Trust The work of the Trust is expanding and the Secretary, who is also Secretary of the WRA, would like to find someone who can relieve him of the preparation of the minutes. The task might appeal to someone with experience of preparing minutes, perhaps for a local authority or public body. The Council discusses the possible use of the Trust's charitable funds, considers fund raising and is now planning a campaign for the restoration of Scruton Station. You would be expected to handle confidential information. The Council normally meets four or five times a year , usually on a Monday, but other meetings may be less predictable.
